We love where we live!  After graduating from Millsaps college, my wife and I were married and began renting a place in North Jackson.  After several years renting, we purchased a small starter home in the area, all the time driving the various neighborhoods throughout Hinds, Madison and Rankin counties dreaming about where we might “one day” live.  We enjoyed the convenience and great places to eat and play in North Jackson so much that we lived in our starter home longer than we originally thought. Staying put allowed us to save money and learn what we valued in a neighborhood.

We could have lived anywhere we wanted, but when we finally decided to build a new home, everything kept pulling us back to North Jackson:  the schools, churches, restaurants, central location…everything! We built right here in the Sheffield/LeFleurs East neighborhood.

Our family has grown.  We have three boys all of whom attend Jackson Academy (Will, Reed & John).  My office is inside the neighborhood, and Meredith works in the medical district.  We have been members of First Baptist Church Jackson for over 22 years and are often involved with church plants in the Jackson area (Grace City Church and City Church).

After earning my B.B.A. degree in Business Administration, I passed the CPA exam and went to work for KPMG Peat Marwick, CPAs.  I purchased my first investment property in the 1990’s while forming and managing multiple real estate and lending businesses over the years.

Why did we start WEgroup?  We looked around our neighborhood and saw the beautiful diversity she holds.  We have neighbors of all ages from college students to wonderful families who have lived here for generations.  The neighborhood has a wide range of housing from rentals/starter homes to luxury estates and everything in between.
